with Ramon Valle on piano, Omar Rodriguez Calvo on double bass and Jamie Peet on drums
The virtuoso pianist Ramon Valle was born in Cuba and has been living in the Netherlands in the recent years. He has collaborated with acknowledged musicians (among them Roy Hargrove), while the great Chucho Valdés has said of him that “he’s the biggest talent among our young pianists.” With his trio, where he is also accompanied by Cuban bassist Omar Rodriguez Calvo and Dutch drummer Jamie Peet, he has participated in many of the major international jazz festivals such as the NorthSea Jazz Festival and the Montreux festival and also festivals in Sydney and Melbourne. His contribution will be based on his last album “Playground”, which was inspired by the birth of his son.
