Nikos Kassavetis is a drummer who combines his classical percussion studies with jazz drumming, creating a personal sound.

He has collaborated with Vangelis Papathanasiou in the album “Mythodia”, with Vicky Samson, with the Dutch saxophone player Peter Massink in “Birds have to fly” and with Andrea Bocelli at Herodion. Since 1998 he plays drums and percussion in the Modern Music Orchestra of ERT.

He is a founding member of the Momo Trio (with George Dousis on piano and Paraskevas Kitsos on bass). Momo Trio has released three albums and represented Greece at the EBU Euroradio Jazz Day in 2016 and at the European Jazz Festival at Gazi. He currently works with the Continuo Trio.
