
Giorgos Georgiadis was born in Athens in 1969. In 1991, he started his music studies in electric bass with Yiorgos Fakanas and continued in 1995 with studies in classical contrabass with Takis Kapogiannis. He graduated with an excellent grade at the upper level on electric bass at the London College of Music & Media. He completed his classical contrabass studies with a diploma, in 2020.
He has been working professionally in the Greek jazz for many years and has cooperated with known musicians such as Takis Paterelis, George Kontrafouris, Dimitri Vassilakis and others, whereas in 1997 he became a member of the Takis Barberis Group.
In addition, he has worked for the National Theater and has cooperated with the Athens Symphonic Orchestra.
Giorgos Georgiadis leads his own group, called Geo Trio and also teaches bass at the Lab Music Education.
His debut album as a leader “Taxidi” was released in 2017.
